This Saturday, June 8 the Catherine Day Phillips trained ARTILENA will race from post 6 facing 9 other fillies in the 64th running of the Woodbine Oaks.
Catherine trained the Sean and Dorothy Fitzhenry homebred filly, DIXIE MOON, to her Oaks win in 2018 and NESHAMA owned by Carnegie Hill Stable, Kingfield Racing Stable, Fielding, Anderson Farms Ontario and trained by Catherine was the 2016 Oaks winner.
Owned in partnership with George P. Ledson, Braconcrest Inc., Anderson Farms Ontario Inc. and Catherine’s Kingfield Racing Stable Ltd. ARTILENA is looking to return to her late season form when she won the Ontario Lassie Stakes in December 2018.
Jockey Emma-Jayne Wilson will be aboard the Artie Schiller-Helena’s Triomphe filly bred by Anderson Farms Ontario Inc. and Marette Farrell in the $500,000 race at 1-1/8 miles for 3 year-old fillies foaled in Canada which is carded for race 9 on Woodbine’s 11 race card.
