Two year-old Artie Schiller filly out of Helena’s Triomphe, Artilena, broke her maiden in easy fashion going 7 furlongs on the synthetic (race was taken off the turf) to win by 11 lengths with Eurico Rosa da Silva aboard.
Coming off of a second place finish in her first career start July 21, Artilena is owned by George Phillip Ledson, Braconcrest Inc., Anderson Farms Ontario Inc. and Kingfield Racing Stable, Ltd., bred by Anderson Farms Ont. Inc. & Marette Farrell, and trained by Catherine Day Phillips.
