Gate to Wire Win for Financial Recovery

The third time was the charm for 2 year-old filly, Financial Recovery, who cruised to her first career win in a Maiden Special Weight on the turf at Woodbine today.

The increase in distance to a mile and sixteenth appeared to suit the Street Cry (Ire) daughter of Flawless Diamond (Saint Ballado) as she vied for the lead early to set the pace then widen her lead down the stretch under a hand ride by jockey Rafael Hernandez.

A homebred of Anderson Farms (Ontario) Inc owned in partnership with Dr. Christoph Berglar’s Narola LLC, Financial Recovery debuted this summer with a pair of fourth place finishes on the turf;  the Shady Wells Stakes August 13 at six and a half furlongs and an allowance on August 27 at seven furlongs.
