Three Year-old Candy Ride (ARG) gelding, Leviathan, skimmed the rail to win by a head in a $32,000 Maiden Claiming at Woodbine.
Trained by Catherine Day Phillips, Leviathan was the heavy favourite and despite getting off a tad slowly in the 7 furlong sprint, Jockey Eurico Da Silva, sped through a hole along the rail when when asked turning for home.
Owned by Anderson Farms Ontario, Inc., John Fielding and George Philip Ledson, Leviathan is Kentucky bred by Jim Fitzgerald & Katie Fitzgerald.
