Sandy Bay is now a winner

After knocking on the door in four of his career seven starts, 3 year-old Sandy Bay broke through with a heart stopping win today in the second race at Woodbine.

Jockey Emma-Jayne Wilson managed to keep his nose in front at the wire in the 1-1/16 mile $61,000 Maiden Allowance race despite Sandy Bay hesitating after taking the lead close to the wire.

This maiden breaking win brings his career stats to 1 win, 4 seconds and one third in 8 lifetime starts.
