Trainer Catherine Day Phillips and her crew were busy getting the stalls ready in preparation for the arrival of the horses for the 2017 racing season at Woodbine.
After a month of light training at the farm, 24 horses were shipped in to Catherine’s barn on February 28 in time for the opening of Woodbine’s training track on March 1.
A handful of fresh two-year-olds joined Catherine’s returning winners of 2016 such as Woodbine Oaks winner, Neshama, six time winner Peggy O, Guy Caballero and Financial Recovery.
