Owned by Mark Breen, Killag Katie took command in the final 1/16th of the 7 furlong $61,000 Allowance race to win by a length with Woodbine’s top jockey Eurico Rosa da Silva in the irons.

This was the 3 year-old’s second win in 7 starts with three seconds and two thirds since joining the barn of trainer Catherine Day Phillips in late May 2018.

Catherine finishes out the 2018 Woodbine season with a career high 29 wins (19% win average) and more than $2 million in earnings along with 29 seconds, 21 thirds in 150 starts realizing a 52% in the money average.  

Catherine will be spending the winter months at Palm Meadows Training Centre in Florida with runners at Gulfstream Park.
